My favorite part of the job is the family-like atmosphere and seeing residents laugh.

Mary has been part of our healthcare team since 2007 and came with extensive experience providing Social Work services in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting.

I am proud to be an employee of Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center. It is one of the finest Skilled Nursing Facilities in Massachusetts. The moment I walk through the doors to our beautiful and spacious lobby each weekday morning, I become energized and ready to begin my day’s work.
I enjoy the contacts I have with residents and their families even when presented with difficulties and challenges that require my support and assistance. I am always impressed by the professionalism of my colleagues, and the camaraderie that is shared amongst us which helps build strong clinical teamwork and bonds friendships both inside & outside of our four walls.
On her own time
Listening to music and “dusting off” my piano playing skills, reviving interests in crafts such as sewing, knitting , crocheting,& artwork I am an avid gardener. I enjoy finding new recipes for cooking & trying them out with friends and family.
I pursue educational opportunities alternative therapies like massage as well as in the profession of Social Work particularly in the specialty areas of Geriatrics and Mental Health. I am an avid reader and enjoy anything I can get my hands on.

Jan has been with Mary Ann Morse for 3 years She also had the experience of dealing with dementia in a family member for 10 years, her mother who was a resident at Mary Ann Morse for 8 years.

In her own words
My family experience with my mother living with dementia for 10 years helps me empathize with patients and families struggling with health issues. I have so much admiration and respect for patients and residents who are dealing with difficult times in their lives.
On her own time
Jan enjoys reading, bird watching, crocheting, walking, swimming, kayaking, caring for her two rescued dogs, and spending time with her family.
