Community Update: Important Family Visitation News and Surveillance Testing
September 30, 2020 – We are pleased to announce that Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center has remained COVID-free for 18 weeks now. This includes both residents and staff.
Surveillance Testing of Staff
With cases rising in the region, we are working hard to ensure we remain vigilant with all of our processes and protocols for infection control and our testing surveillance program. Currently, due to the numbers rising in the region, we are now required to test 100% of our negative staff.
Family Visitation
Some of the biggest news that we have is related to our family visits. As of Friday, September 25, 2020, we are offering indoor visits if the weather is not conducive to an outdoor visit. We will adhere to the same protocols as we have with the outdoor visits. We are planning for these visits to be held in our Card and Game Room on the 1st floor of the building.
In an effort to ensure all of our residents have the opportunity for a visit, we are asking that each of our residents receives a maximum of one visit a day and a maximum of two visits per week. This is not two visits per family member but two visits per resident for the week.
We are looking forward to the continued opportunity for family and friends to be together.
As always if there is anything that we can do to support you, our families, during this time, please give us a call: 508-433-4400.
Sincerely,
Carol Kapolka, Executive Director
Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center
