Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center Update: Vaccine Clinics & In-Person Visits

Feb 4, 2021 – We are very pleased to bring you these wonderful community updates this week!

Vaccination Clinics On Saturday, January 30, 2021, through a federal program with our pharmacy partner, CVS/Omnicare, we completed our second of our three COVID Vaccination Clinics. 85% of our residents received the vaccine and 80% of the staff at Mary Ann Morse have received either one or both of the vaccines. Our last clinic under this program will be held on February 20, 2021 when some of our staff will receive their second shot of the COVID vaccine. We are proud of this accomplishment, as we listen to news reports identifying the uptake for the getting the vaccination is not as strong for many nursing home staff across the country. Our rate for resident vaccination seems to be in line with what is being seen in other facilities.
Live, In-Person Visits For a number of reasons, including guidance from the Department of Public Health easing the restrictions on visits and Mary Ann Morse currently not having any positive internally transmitted cases of COVID-19 among residents or staff, we are opening up to LIVE IN-PERSON VISITS. We understand that it has been far too long since you have had this opportunity and are pleased to share this good news with you. We will be opening up for these visits on Monday, February 8, 2021. You can call 508-433-4400 to schedule a visit.

A little more information about the visits:·

-The visits are 45-minutes maximum, two visitors at a time, and only one visit per resident per week, at this point. We will work to increase the number of visits per resident per week. Please call the receptionist to make your in-person visit appointments.·

-Given the high rate of community spread and the new, very transmissible virus strains, we are re-opening cautiously. We ask for your cooperation in our efforts to keep all our residents safe.·

-We continue to encourage you to visit virtually with your loved ones at the facility using FaceTime or the telephone.

As always, if there is anything that we can do to help, please give us a call: 508-433-4400.
