Residents are engaged in activities which are structured to achieve these goals as the resident’s energy level, cognitive and physical abilities allow. Activities for Homestead residents are designed to be appropriately challenging, while emotionally constructive. Our staff also attempt to involve residents in low impact, appropriate physical exercise. Additionally, residents enjoy unstructured time to stroll indoors and outdoors in a secure, varied environment. The goal of activities for persons with memory loss in the Homestead community is not only entertainment, but also mental and emotional flexibility and social interaction, which helps to contribute to overall well-being.
