Community Update from Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center
I am writing to let you know that Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center has several cases of respiratory illness on the Cedar Unit. These cases are in vaccinated residents and they are being monitored and treated appropriately. In normal times, we would not have reported such news to you, however with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are required by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regulations to do so.
On another note, visits to the facility seem to be going well. It has been so nice to see all of you coming and going. We are averaging approximately 300 visits a week, with the weekends being a popular time to visit. As we continue to return to some form of normalcy, we are planning for at least a weekly visit from our musical entertainers who will be performing in the courtyard.
We are proud to report that the vaccination rate at Mary Ann Morse is 95% for staff and 95% for our long-term residents. These rates provide all of us with a level of protection we can feel good about as we go about our daily lives in the building. We are able to provide the COVID-19 immunization to our short-term patients if they desire.
As always if you have any questions, please call us at 508-433-4400.
