Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center Staff Testing, Visitation Update
September 3, 2021 – I am writing to provide you with some of the most recent updates at Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center.
Staff Testing
As of today, September 3, 2021, through our routine testing, we have been made aware of a staff member testing positive for COVID-19. This is a breakthrough case in a vaccinated person. The staff member is not in the building and will be out for the required quarantine period. With this, per the Department of Public Health’s (DPHs)guidance, we will be testing all staff every three days and are testing all of our residents.
Visitation
Since the staff member with the positive COVID-19 case worked on the Birch Unit, only outdoor visits will be allowed with vaccinated residents from the Birch Unit. Unfortunately, we will not be able to allow visits with unvaccinated residents from this unit. We will keep you posted as to when indoor visits to that unit will resume. We apologize for this inconvenience, however we need and want to keep everyone safe and are following the guidance from our DPH Epidemiologist.
The regulations for visits to the other two floors, Alder and Cedar, remain the same.
Masks are required in the building at all times.
As always, if there is anything that we can help with, please call us at 508-433-4400.
