The Cummings Foundation’s $30 Million Grant Program focuses on supporting Massachusetts nonprofits serving Middlesex, Essex, and Suffolk counties. This place-based initiative allows the Foundation to give back to the areas where it owns commercial property, facilitated by Cummings Properties, an affiliate that manages the buildings.
Joyce Vyriotes, Executive Director of Cummings Foundation, acknowledged the remarkable efforts of local nonprofits in addressing community needs and promoting equity and access to opportunities. Approximately 90 volunteers, including business leaders, nonprofit representatives, and experts, played a pivotal role in reviewing and selecting grant recipients.
Out of 150 organizations identified for three-year grants, Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Corp. was among the recipients. Furthermore, 25 nonprofits, including some previous Cummings grantees, received 10-year awards ranging from $300,000 to $1 million. The grant winners span various causes, such as housing, food insecurity, workforce development, social justice, education, and mental health services, impacting 46 different cities and towns.
Cummings Foundation has now provided $480 million in grants to greater Boston nonprofits. To access the complete list of this year’s grant winners and previous recipients, visit www.CummingsFoundation.org
