Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center Community Update: COVID-19 and Visitation

As of November 30, 2020, with this new surge, there have been a total of thirteen positive COVID-19 cases at Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center. Two of the patients have passed at the hospital, two are in the hospital, and 8 of the residents are in our isolation unit that is a closed section of the Alder Unit. One staff member has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be out for the required isolation period. At this point, the cases have been contained to the Alder Unit. We have had no new resident cases since November 26. There are no positive cases on the Birch or Cedar Units.

We have notified the appropriate governing bodies and continue to work with our Epidemiologist contact from the Department of Public Health on our comprehensive plan.

With this current state, and the continued risk for the spread of the coronavirus, we are suspending visits for another week. We will reassess next Monday, December 7. We are sorry for this interruption in what we know is of great importance to both you and your loved one.

Sincerely,

Carol Kapolka, Executive Director

Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center
