Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center Update: COVID-19 and Visitation
As of December 4, 2020, there have been a total of thirteen positive COVID-19 cases at Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center. Three of the patients have passed, two are currently in the hospital, five of the residents are in our isolation unit that is a closed section of the Alder Unit and two have recovered. At this point, the cases have been contained to the Alder Unit. We have had no new resident cases since December 1, 2020. There are no positive cases on the Birch or Cedar Units. We continue with weekly surveillance testing.
We have one staff member that has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be out for the required isolation period.
We have notified the appropriate governing bodies and continue to work with our Epidemiologist contact from the Department of Public Health on our comprehensive plan.
With this current state and there being a continued risk for the spread of the coronavirus, visits are still suspended. We will reassess on Monday, December 7th. We are sorry for this interruption in what we know is of great importance to both you and your loved one.
Sincerely,
Carol Kapolka, Executive Director
Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center
