Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center Update: COVID-19, Vaccination Clinics

As of December 30, 2020, all of our facility-acquired positive COVID-19 cases at Mary Ann Morse have resolved. However, one of our part-time workers reported to us that they have tested positive for COVID-19. It is their understanding, through contact tracing, they were exposed outside of Mary Ann Morse. That person will be out of work the required time.

With the current positive staff person, we will not be able to open for visits through January 7th. We will re-assess the opportunity for us to open up for visits at that time. We are sorry for this and thank you for your understanding.  If you wish, please call to set up a virtual visit.

Vaccination Clinics at Mary Ann Morse

As you most likely are aware, there are two scheduled vaccination clinics to be held at Mary Ann Morse, one on January 9th and the other on January 30th. Residents and staff getting the first vaccine on January 9th will receive their second inoculation on the 30th. We are working both internally and with our pharmacy partner, CVS/Omnicare to ready ourselves for this endeavor. Preparation includes: education, getting all required sign-up and consents completed, and planning logistics for the vaccine clinic days. We are excited to be part of this program and that long-term care was given priority for the vaccine. We are working diligently to have as many residents and staff vaccinated as we possibly can.

As always, if there is anything that we can do to help, please give us a call: 508-433-4400.

Sincerely,

Carol Kapolka, Executive Director

Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center
